Saturday Night Entertainment
For 2006 the Viva La Musica Orchestra conducted by the talented
Rhonda Davidson-Irwin presented a scintillating orchestral
event of classics,
opera favourites, Celtic melodies and
a Choir of 100 local children performed, jazz classics were sung by
Brett Annabel.

Festival organisers thought that evening could not be outdone but The Passion and the Power in 2005 proved a resounding success and Opera under the Stars brought a level of entertainment to the town never before seen.

In 2004 diners and the general public were entertained royally with a free concert by Barry Singh and his Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra. The whole town rose as one to the crashing finale of the 1812 Overture by Taichovsky.

Racing by day and fine dining by night. That’s how it’s done at Speed on Tweed. We started something in 2003 with an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of Records for the longest continuous dinner table. Nearly 2000 people sat down to dine in the Main Street of town on a night never to be forgotten.
